GEUNBAE YANG

(EN/KR)

Geunbae Yang (b.1995)’s work begins with a question about the structures of faith rooted in belief, and how they function. He examines the boundaries between religion and cult, orthodoxy and the fringe, and how these distinctions shape systems of order and worldviews. Yang studies how belief systems—often regarded as absolute—are constructed, distorted, and sometimes become sources of support. While his work gestures toward a world beyond reason, it resists mystification, instead probing the underlying structures and desires that sustain such systems.
